Come learn many of the physiological, psychological and psycho-social benefits of yoga practice for people with physical and mobility disabilities.
This workshop will cover the principles of adapting yoga for people with physical and mobility disabilities, as well as techniques and best-practices for giving hands-on assistance. Get first-hand experience using the props & equipment for adaptive yoga classes, and learn how to structure and lead a class.
You will learn how to safely transfer people from a wheel chair to the floor, as well as how to build modified poses for bodies with limited mobility.
